Horehound Good Luck bowl - 9 inch.
GOOD LUCK Bowl: Evolving from manufacture of the Jockey Club Advertising Plate, circa 1909 -1910 for a California based brand of perfume, the success of this design when produced in 9” plates and both ruffled and pie crust edged bowls in 8”-9” sizes is fantastic! We have known of at least a couple of collectors who concentrated on massing vast collections of this pattern alone! Stippled versions, along with pie crust edges and those with ruffling can amount to 27 examples! Another 10 can be obtained with collecting the 9”-9 ½” plates. Marigold, amethyst, green, cobalt blue, lavender, horehound, white, ice blue, ice green, aqua, teal, lime green, sapphire blue, aqua opalescent and ice blue opalescent ruffled bowls are found, and there are pie crust edged 8”-9” bowls found in horehound.
Marigold on custard GRAPE & CABLE Bonbon.
GRAPE & CABLE Bonbon: Stippled two-handled bonbons are seldom seen. They are known in marigold, amethyst, green, cobalt blue, white, aqua, and black amethyst. Single known examples in marigold on custard and violet exist!
Two-handled examples having basketweave exterior are found in marigold, amethyst, green, and cobalt blue. White is scarce. Pearlized custard and aqua opalescent are seldom seen. A single example in peach opalescent exists.

EMBROIDERED MUMS Bowl: This pattern is one of the most popular in the Northwood line. Production dates from 1911- 1912. Cobalt blue and amethyst are found more often than other colors. Marigold examples are somewhat more difficult to locate! Lavender, white, ice blue, ice green, sapphire blue, aqua, aqua opalescent, lime green opalescent, and ice blue opalescent could all be considered extremely rare. 9” plates are found only in cobalt blue, white, and ice green. The underrated stemmed bonbon in white is also a scarce item!
Renninger Blue (stippled) PEACOCK & URN Master IC Bowl.
PEACOCK & URN (stippled) Master Ice Cream Bowl: Stippled sets are among the most popular items in the Northwood line. Master bowls are 9”-10 ½”. Companion bowls are 5”-6”. The master bowl is found in marigold, cobalt blue, ice blue, horehound, honey amber, smoke, Renninger blue, sapphire blue. The small stippled bowl is found in marigold, cobalt blue and Renninger blue.
Amethyst and Green PETALS Compotes.
PETALS Compote in Marigold - 7.25 in. diameter.
PETALS Compote: This is a short stemmed compote. It first appeared in wholesale catalogs in 1909, continuing in production through at least 1912. Marigold is the dominate color, followed by amethyst and green. A few rare ice blue compotes have been found, with at least one example in cobalt blue confirmed!

PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN Punch Sets: This “bird” was introduced in 1912 and could be called extremely popular! Harry Northwood filed a patent in Feb. of 1914. It was granted in July 1914 and is the only pattern Northwood is known to have patented. Berry sets, table sets, water sets, fruit bowls, stemmed compote and a whimsey spittoon are all quite collectible. Punch sets in marigold, amethyst, green, cobalt blue, white, ice blue, ice green, aqua opalescent, Renninger blue (punch bowl only), are always desirable when presented for sale!

ROSE SHOW Bowls: Along with Poppy Show, Rose Show dates from the 1912-1914 period. Although they present themselves quite frequently, there is a long-standing respect for “yet ANOTHER”! The opinion: “You can’t HAVE too many Rose Shows” is a shared opinion of many collectors! The 8”-9” ruffled (no IC shapes) bowls are found in marigold, amethyst, green, cobalt blue, white, ice blue, ice green, aqua opalescent, lime green, ice blue opalescent, ice green opalescent, horehound, aqua, sapphire blue, powder blue opalescent, marigold on custard.

ROSE SHOW Plate: 9”-9 ½” plates are found in marigold, amethyst, green, cobalt blue, white, ice blue, ice green, lavender, lime green, ice green opalescent, vaseline, and marigold on custard.
Green and ice green opalescent plates rank higher in rarity than do the bowls. Amethyst plates are more difficult to locate than bowls of that color. Marigold on custard ranks close to the top of the list, surpassed only by a single known vaseline plate!

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven,
Will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat”? or “What shall we drink”? or “What shall we wear?”
For after all these things the Gentiles seek.
For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
