Millersburg - Part 21
MILLERSBURG – Part 21
(Oval) RAYS & RIBBONS - Only 1 known - Green.
Sold for $1300. on 3-2007 - Wroda Auction.
RAYS and RIBBONS - Green.
Amethyst RAYS and RIBBONS. CACTUS exterior pattern.
9.5 inch Amethyst RAYS & RIBBONS.
Courtesy Jane Horton.
RAYS & RIBBONS: The oval shaped green bowl is said to be the only one in that shape. The sticker at the top of picture has the name Wilson. That collection was originally sold in the 1990s and each piece had their name on a sticker. The other green bowl is an unusual square shape.
The ruffled version in this pattern is seen most often and the CACTUS exterior design indicates a “carry-over” use of the former crystal mould.
HANGING CHERRIES Plate - 10 inch.
Sold for $1800. Wroda Auction.-10-2010.
HANGING CHERRIES Chop Plate - 11 inch.
Craig & Ann Heeley - Oct. 2012.
HANGING CHERRIES Chop Plates: Chop plates in this pattern are seldom available in either amethyst or marigold. The amethyst one is rather silvery, but then with only one known in marigold, one cannot be terribly “selective”! LOL!
HANGING CHERRIES Compote - Green.
HANGING CHERRIES Compote: A couple are known in the square shape. Both are amethyst. The usual round shape is found in green, amethyst and marigold. A couple with two-sides up are also known. 6” in height, having a bowl opening of 7” in diameter, the stem offers a 4” diameter, which is beautifully designed. Not often offered for sale, they usually have excellent iridescence. One example is known in blue.
HANGING CHERRIES Powder Box in Green,
Only one known - Sold for $10,000-Seeck Auctions.
HANGING CHERRIES Powder Jar: An outstanding rarity, with only one example known in green!
10.75 in. HANGING CHERRIES 3 and 1 edge - Marigold.
Courtesy Mel & Frances Everingham.
HANGING CHERRIES 3/1 edge 10” Bowls; Plain backs are not often seen on Millersburg glass, but there is at least one 10” bowl with plain back having the 3/1 edge.
10 in. HANGING CHERRIES Ruffled Bowl in Green. 10.5 in. Marigold Bowl.
HANGING CHERRIES 6 ruffle Bowls: Certainly 6 ruffle and ice cream shaped bowls offer the best advantage to enjoy the interior pattern. Use of the hobnail exterior should also be considered. Creating an edge having tightly crimped edge would destroy the hobnail exterior!
10 in. Blue HANGING CHERRIES - two known.
HANGING CHERRIES IC shaped Bowls in blue: Only two blue 10” size bowls are known, along with one 5” sauce dish in blue.
7.5 in. Green HANGING CHERRIES Plate & 7 in. Amethyst H. CHERRIES IC shaped bowl.
HANGING CHERRIES IC shaped Sauce Dishes: This size dish can be found having 3/1 edge. as well as a ruffled edge. Colors include amethyst, blue, green and marigold.
Dean & Diane Fry, 8/14
Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations.
Ask your father, and he will show you;
When the Most High divided their inheritance to the nations,
when He separated the sons of Adam,
He set the boundaries of the peoples of Israel.
For the LORD’s portion is His people;
Jacob is the place of His inheritance.
He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness;
He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.
As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings,
Taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the LORD alone led him,
And there was no foreign god with him.
