There are some pattern “variations” away from the theme: Orange Tree! Fruit bowls and punch bowls offer the Orange Tree pattern as one would expect to find it. Now, take a direct look at the base used for these bowls. Not at all a matching design is it? (A couple of these bases in blue are known to have been crimped for use as a vase.)
Blue is the more available color, green, and marigold. The wide ruffled flare seen on these two examples is unusual. Most of the bowls are flared in an ice cream shape.

Now, let's consider the rose bowls called Fenton's Flowers. All written matter directs us to this pattern name; yet at first glance, we are inclined to name it Orange Tree!...........another example of it being “all in the name”.
There are nut bowl shapes in amethyst, blue, green, marigold and white. The rosebowl shape is found in amberina/red, amethyst, blue (some offer the rare smooth edge); clambroth, green, ice green opal, marigold, peach opal, red, smoke, vaseline and white.

CENTERPIECE and  FRUIT BOWL: having the ring of Orange Blossoms around the center marie area; not often found, so we know they are not “standard”, but we cannot say whether certain colors in those two shapes are the only examples to be considered. Should anyone have more conclusive evidence to share, we certainly would like to hear from you. Note: Three Orange Trees in the design. Scroll feet are standard for these bowls. Centerpiece bowls are ice cream shape, but the extremely wide spread of this green one is unusual. Amethyst and marigold, along with blue are the colors known.

SHERBET: Along with the usual round, straight-up sides, the occasional whimsey turns up. Along with this rather ruffled effect, there are a couple of blue examples having tightly crimped sides. Marigold and white sherbets complete the color array.

FRUIT BOWL:  in this flared round shape is not often seen. This one is in amethyst. Most fruit bowls are ruffled/crimped. They are 10” in size, having scroll feet. Blue and marigold are usual colors.

The Influence of Intercessory Prayer

How many times have you offered to pray for a friend or family member who is ill, or having some difficulty which is not receiving meaningful or helpful results? The apostle Paul believed, as the Scriptures confirm, that spiritual growth can occur within us through the help of prayers of others on our behalf while leaving us responsible for our own decisions.
Our Faith may seem challenged when we don't see the Lord responding to our prayers for others, but we must continue praying for one another, while allowing Him to intervene in His own time! By following Paul when he asked the readers of his letters to pray for him (Romans 15:30-32), we can be assured that our spiritual eyes will be opened by our Father in heaven. All things can be accomplished through prayer!
