A.O. BANANA Boat:  How many of these are there? Perhaps 3? One was seen and passed up by (yours truly) in an antique shop in No. CA in the late `80s. It later sold for $3500. and was listed in the Tom Sprain Price Guide of 1989. One with a crack is known, then this one was presented as an “unknown” over the www. carnival glass mailing list in early July 2009. One which “appears” to be the same bowl,  turned up mid-month in Don & Becky Hamlet's room display during the 2009 ICGA Convention. In the interim, Paul Berube kindly provided us with several pictures so as to select some for viewing here on the 101 site.
Interesting iridescence on the interior of this piece makes it appear to have “reddish” glass, but in viewing the bowl from this angle, one can see the aqua opal edge to best degree.

Dean & Diane Fry - 01/2010

ALL  mankind is destined to face God's judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
 For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body,
 according to what he has done, whether good or bad.  Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;
 but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your conscience.   ( 2 Corinthians 5:6-11)
