TABLE SETS - PART 5
1905 Butler Bros. Wholesale Catalog Ad for FILE pattern in crystal.
FILE: Extensive crystal production of this Imperial pattern #256 took place prior to the carnival glass era. An early factory catalog displays 22 different shapes. However, the number of carnival glass shapes is much more limited. 5”-9” bowls having Scroll Embossed interior and the File exterior are known in marigold, purple, smoke, clambroth and helios. A chop plate of some 11” in size is known in marigold. The water set, table set and a few whimsey vases made from the spooner are known in marigold. There are also some whimsey vases shaped from the base of the sugar bowl.
HANGING CHERRIES Table Set in Amethyst.
HANGING CHERRIES: This four-piece table set is likely the easiest of all Millersburg table sets to find in amethyst, green or marigold. Only a few pieces in blue are known. Two butter dishes having aqua bases and green lids have been verified.
OCTAGON Butter Dish, Creamer & Sugar in RARE Amethyst.
OCTAGON: One of the most widely known patterns in all of carnival glass and produced in many shapes, along with a number of reproductions (all marked with IG), this Imperial four piece table set is not all that plentiful. It is underrated, although quite scarce even in marigold! It is rare in helios and purple. The butter dish is to be found in a lovely shade of aqua. Does anyone have the other three shapes in that color? A complete set would certainly be a treasure!
WREATHED CHERRY in White.
Dugan D in a diamond on Butter Bottom.
Courtesy Seeck Auctions. - $325.
WREATHED CHERRY: This is one of the items which on rare occasion is found with the Dugan D-in-a-diamond trademark, usually on the butter dish. Table sets are found in marigold, amethyst, white and oxblood. None are readily available, but perhaps there are a few more white sets than other colors available.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Abstain from every form of evil.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul,
and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:14-24)
