PANSY Dresser Tray-9.75 in. in length x 1 in. high..
PANSY Dresser Tray - 9.75 in. in length x 1 in. high.

Pansy is listed in the Imperial Glass catalogs as pattern #478. It is one of the most easily recognized of all patterns. Apparently this was a fast seller, for very few shapes and colors will create much difficulty in locating.
This flat, oval dresser tray is shaped from the same mold created for the pickle dish and is one of the more rare designs within the pattern. They have been found in marigold, purple, helios, clambroth, and amber, but not often in any of the colors. Amber is scarce and the purple ones are quite scarce. You can be prepared to forfeit several hundred dollars for one of the spectacular purple dresser trays.

Pillar Flute

Pillar Flute is the original pattern name listed as such in old Imperial factory catalogs, along with the designated number #682. More than 30 shapes were produced in non-iridized crystal, with about half that number found in carnival glass.
Most carnival shapes are found in marigold and clambroth. A few are known in smoke and the three-piece console set is known in red.
The water set is quite scarce, as are the salt and pepper shakers, but most shapes are easily found. Smoke pieces, especially the vase, are also more difficult to locate. The breakfast sugar and creamer are footed. The compote is stemmed and the vase has a pedestal foot. All other pieces are collar based.
Some pieces are found signed with the Imperial Cross mark.

Dean & Diane Fry, 9 - 2010

Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud,
all passed through the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink.
For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;
nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain,
as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the ages have come.       (1Corinthians 10:1-11)
