FOSTORIA - Part 2
Wally McDaniel has always been a faithful attendee to all four of the Northern and Southern California Club Meetings and Conventions. He lost his first large collection to a fire at his home in the northern part of the State a number of years ago, but that huge loss and disappointment did not deter his enthusiasm for Glass and its Collectors. Following a period of adjustment, he came back in among the crowd, gathered his collectors' sense together and started buying all over again!
Wally raises Christmas Trees as his main occupation, and between the trimming sessions and the growing seasons, while his trees await the time for cutting, marketing and the ultimate trimmings his customers apply to them, he travels the highways and byways wheeling and dealing in this other pretty “stuff” we all enjoy.
He came striding in for the late March 2005 www.cga Convention in Columbus, Ohio and set up an entire room of several tables filled with pretty Fostoria Carnival Glass. Obliging as he always is, he agreed to allow us to take some photos for use on our 101 site, so here are some nice examples for our viewers to enjoy. Wally never does anything half way, so there are some very unusual specimens in this group.
