Segment 03
Proposed: Three building auction complex, with hotel on 156 acres South of Indianapolis, to serve the 5- state area of all auction needs.
North East elevation, showing # 1 building, and bridge over to the hotel and mall area.
The bridge is 12’ 6”’ wide and 150’ long, and enters the #1 building from the hotel and mall area. As you enter the #1 building there is an 8’ walkway all around the arena above the bleachers and over the 34’ wide arena at both ends. Down from the 8’ walkway are 4’ wide stairs down to the arena floor on both sides of the bleachers, and 2 each 8’ wide stairs 50’ apart equally spaced in the bleachers allowing for easy access to seating. Both East and West bleachers are the same. The 8’ walkway around the inside of the building will allow spectators to see the auction and may decide to participate later on. We are keeping the lap top design secret for the present time, and to be revealed later on, because the whole concept surrounds this one item that will make the functionality of each entity work with proficiency without any auctioneers hollering out bids.
Some auctioneers have spent a lifetime perfecting a chant and after years of cheating, rafter bids, their hand was called as in the case of the tobacco barns. The tobacco industry went to the South Carolina College and ask to have a hand held bidding box designed eliminating the auctioneer entirely. Well the College came up with the design being used today.
After the auction a stage could be set up for the Hoosier grand old opera, say starting at 8 PM with unknown amateur performers. A whole different kind of entertainment is possible without drums, fireworks, load noise, rap, and without rhyme. A board of trustees would have to approve a performance before it could take place and meet certain criteria of sound entertainment. No pun intended.
On the East side next to property line with a 15’ easement will be built 53 each 20’ wide x 40’ deep concrete block three sided stalls with an open front for the farmers market each day of the week. The roof will be poured in place with a 2% sloping roof. A 4’ roll out awning with different colors in each stall with pole bracing on each side will make an enjoyable atmosphere for buyers. A 6’ walkway through the center of each stall with 4’ sloping bins for produce on each side with a 3’ walkway behind each row of bins for the farmer. This will accommodate 2 or maybe 3 farmers in each stall.
Total of farmers on any one day could be in the neighborhood 60 to 80 farmers. To be rented out from 6 AM to 4 PM for 800 sq. ft. per stall at .0625 sq. ft. or $50 this includes electric and without electric $35.
Out in front of each stall 25’ away will be a 16’ x16’ metal umbrella with a 1’ striped scalloped canvas edge around the metal umbrella. This will give the impression that it is canvas canopy and makes a homier atmosphere. A 6” schedule 40 pipe 10’6” above the finished floor that slides into a sleeve, is embedded in concrete 4’ deep for support. Then a table 6’ x 8’ with a center hole 6 ¼” and a sleeve 1’ long is welded to the table bottom with 4 angles ¼” x 1’ x 2’ welded to the sleeve to support the table, and then it slides over the 6” pipe. Then it is bolted to the column with the table height of 30”.The seating around a 6’ x 8’ table could be 14 people, comfortably maybe 10.
The canopy is made with 2” angle iron frame 16’ x 16’ welded to a sleeve that fits over the 6” pipe and it is 3’ long. All 2” angle irons are welded to this sleeve to form the frame work of the canopy. After the canopy is completed it is lifted in place and slides over the 6” pipe and then bolted in place 7’2” above the finish floor. The roof of the canopy is metal with powder coated colored paint finish with standard installation. Plans and details will be in another segment later on.
The restaurants in the mall will have the opportunity to serve a barbecue each day to feed the shoppers, along with an in ground whole hog roast. The fire begins at 4 AM and the hog would be done by 11 AM and would bring in shoppers for lunch. These are just a few of the things that could be going on and still benefit the restaurant mall owners. Only in house restaurants could participate in this type of service. Like we have said before the more people you retain on the property the likelihood of more money to be made from different functions.
Genesis
And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
And God called the firmament heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
And God said, Let the earth bring fourth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
