Segment 22
Proposed: Three building auction complex, with hotel on 156 acres South of Indianapolis, to serve the 5- state area of all auction needs.
Shown is the plan view of the North East quadrant of the first floor of the hotel, mall area, and the center of the main part of the auction arena, including a portion of the 10 turn tables with the seating arrangement in a circle around the 10 arenas.
Each 20’ diameter has 314.16 square feet of display area for an auction. The 20’ turn table shall be built like a wedding cake in appearance, with steps varying from 8'',10'', and 1'2'' in depth, and heights from 8'' to 10''.The top of the wedding cake design shall be 8' high and 3' across the top. This will allow a person to reach to the top steps and retrieve an object on the top most shelves. The bottom steps will be sold first, allowing a person to retrieve an object on the upper most step.
If carnival glassware is going to be sold at this auction, and if there is a collar base on the glass, it will fit into a V shape design made of 1/2'' hard rubber. A secured vertical stand in the center of the shelf on the turn table will allow the object to be displayed in vertical manner. The mirror on the riser will display the back of the object.
All auctions we have attended place the object in plate holders or lay flat, which is not a good way to display the object.
If the audience is a trustworthy bunch, then the objects could be handed out as the auction is in progress. The wedding cake shelves will be covered with a rubber type of shelf material so as not to damage the object, but keep the piece in place as the turn table rotates. The riser shall be covered with mirrors to display the reverse side if the object. This could be a thin mirror type plastic which could come in a 10” roll and could be easily applied and withstand hard usage. There can be many different configurations of the 20’ round turn table such as three layers for electronics, all plugged in and functioning to display the objects. The turn table could rise 3’ at a time selling the top row first, and then rise another 3’ to sell the next row, and then the last row. There are numerous configurations of how the turn tables can be set up for different types of objects. We have listed just a few, and as the situation arises for different occasions they could be reconfigured for compatibility. There could be 500 pieces of carnival glass displayed on just one turn table with space to show the reverse side of the piece as it is shown with the mirror background.
There are 10 turn tables each in the upper floor auction room, and 10 turn tables each in the lower auction room on the first floor. The upper turn tables are for secured auctions such as guns, expensive jewelry, coins and other items which require security personnel. If a club is having their auction, and is staying in the hotel this could be a good venue, because the auction arena could be on the floor where they are all staying. This would cut down on all of the traffic on the first floor.
There will be one crane ball hoist built on a hinged 90o I beam attached to the vertical I beam above the wedding cake platforms, to serve 4 platforms; two upper and two lower. Each column between the turn tables will have the controls to service the first and second floors. A single cable with a 6” steel ball attached to the end of the cable will be lowered below a half ball clamp in the top of the wedding cake platform. As the half ball clamp is closed, this will allow the steel ball to lift the wedding cake to the desired level. Then the platform will be locked in place, and the cable ball clamp will be released. The cable will be free to go to the next operation. There will be a total of 10 hoists.
Container size for box lots will be shaped like a piece of pie. The front of the box will be 2’ wide x 3’ high x 4’deep, and the back side will be 1’1” wide. 31 boxes on a 20’ circle, side by side, will make up one level, and the second level of the platform will be the same. There will be 5’ between the first and second level, so an attendant can easily reach under the second level to extract an item to display.
If there is a problem displaying the box lot than a hand lift could be used to remove the box from the turn table for better viewing. After the lot is sold it will be placed back on the turn table, and sale will proceed to the next lot.
Front of the box will have a large number permanently painted on it so the bidder knows what box he is bidding on. The first level will come up 3’ above the stage and the operator will stop the hoist, then rotate the platform until that level of the 31 box lots are sold. Proceed to raise the elevator another 5’ and do the same thing again. The operator can control the turn table a few inches at a time with a lever protruding from the floor.
After the bidding, the platform is lowered to the basement area, and then taken to the designated area. A special hand truck removes the boxes and places them in rows at the pickup doors.
The hustler’s voice will not be on a loud speaker but will come from two small 2” speakers placed on each side of the chair wings at ear level, preventing the noise from going to the next arena.
Box lots seem to dominate a large portion of the bidding crowd, and for some unknown reason bidders are hoping to get something for nothing. You are not allowed to see what is in the box until an item is pulled out of the box by the hustler, who is really promoting the items in the box. He begins expounding on each item as he pulls it out of the box, not revealing some items remaining in the box. The unknown factor is played to the living end, leaving the bidder asking himself what remains in the box?
One good example is a box of women's clothing, with several purses and a couple of old ones on top of the clothing. An evening bag, decorated with beads, attracts the eye of the hustler and he opens it up, finding a $10.00 bill and some change. Immediately, he puts the $10.00 in his pocket, and causes an uproar from the crowd. He then puts it back into the purse. What the crowd does not know is that the $10.00 was a “plant” to help sell the box perhaps for more than it is worth. To keep the crowd coming back each day, just one good item of value must be placed in the box and not discussed. This is Las Vegas style selling, but on a smaller scale.
Presenting an object in the right surroundings will increase the return, so each sale must be considered for best presentation. This is where you can have a big advantage over your competition.
So someone has a fire. Now you have a collection of smoke covered glass and china. What do you do now? Hire someone to clean the glass and china or sell it as is, knowing you will receive only a fraction of its worth? Having it cleaned prior to sale may induce buyers to pay closer the true value? These are only a few of the circumstances which you will encounter in this type of business.
After the auctions are over around 6 P.M., the stage is converted for a show performance. The stage is 3’ above the main floor, and is 94’ in diameter and could be used for some type of entertainment. The lost art of vaudeville and all that jazz could be kindled again. The 10 platforms could be lifted to the stage level with ball hoist and then released, with the ball going to the rafters above and with actors ready to perform. There are a wide range of programs which could use this type of stage. Show directors could incorporate talent into a performance for entertainment of the paying audience. The seating capacity for all 10 arenas on the first floor is 1840 people, or 184 people per every turn table.
“ BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” [REV.17: 5]
The harlot of the end times will bring together into one system a merger of occultism, eastern mysticism, pantheism, reincarnation, nature worship, and the like. It will tolerate everything except biblical Christianity.
The heads of this ecumenical religion will work closely with Antichrist as he rises to power. But they will not fare very well after Antichrist achieves world power. They will be destroyed by the very ones they helped
[Rev. 17: 16
In summary, the dragon [Satan], the beast [Antichrist], and the false prophet will be an unholy trinity. They will imitate the relationship that exists between the Farther, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They will accept the cooperation and help of an ecumenical religious system in exchange for favors. But once they achieve absolute power, they will destroy the false church so that they will have complete freedom to establish their own anti-god regime.
We who belong to the true and living God represent Him properly when we, through our lives, reflect the light that He is.
God our Father is “the Holy One” [Isa. 1:4; 5: 19,24 10: 20; 12:6]. The devil is “the evil one [Mt. 6: 13]. God cannot lie [Num. 23:19; Heb. 6: 18]. Satan is “a liar, and the father of it” [Ju. 8: 42-44].
