Segment 09
Proposed: Three building auction complex, with hotel on 156 acres South of Indianapolis, to serve the 5- state area of all auction needs.
North West elevation showing the bridge from the hotel and mall to the car auction building.
The bridge floor is 1’ thick poured in place concrete 14’6” wide by 180 long with 8 each 2’ square projections extending out on the other side of the wall for statues using the same contour as on the main building of the hotel. The bridge will be configured to 8 each 2’ square column centered in the middle of the bridge for support and 20’ apart. The walkway will be 12’6” from the inside walls that will be 42” high and 1” thick concrete blocks to match the tilt up walls. Rebar from the floor will be used for structural integrity in the walls.
The car auction house is primarily the same layout inside as the # 1 building seating is the same ,8’ walkway around the inside the building is the same, rest rooms the same, and the offices the same. The arena is different that includes 1 track for the 40’ long car carriers with 2 turn tables on each car carrier pulled by an electric tow motor. Car carrier will be supplied with electric to turn the turn tables from a rail in the groove in the tract below the floor. The arena is the same in width 34’4” with seats 6’ away from the rotating platform for close viewing and up to 60’ away in the grand stand. Seating will be the same 507 each side of the arena.
The cooling system will be different in this building extracting the cool ground temperatures of 54 degrees year round thru a 6’ corrugated galvanized pipe with ¼” x 6” steel fins 9” apart, and spot welded to the corrugations the entire length of the pipe. The fins that are welded to the corrugated pipe will help transfer the ground temperature to the air in the pipe. The pipes will start at 10’ above the finish floor in the car tunnel and each pipe will go one half of the way around the building, and exit under the bleachers in an in air chamber with 4” x 12” registers under each seat at the heels of the person sitting down. A low volume fan with about 10 pound volume air pressure would suffice.
Have you ever stood in front of an abandoned mine and experienced the cool air exiting the mine at 54 degrees? Water under pressure and going thru a small orifice and turning into a mist at the entrance of the 6’ corrugated pipe will create the same effect as the abandoned mine entrance on its exit. It costs more to cool a building than to heat a building.
Now for lighting. The corrugated fiber glass curved panels in the overhead structure will be sufficient for the day giving off enough light. Evening lighting will be strip florescent lighting attached to horizontal purlins and not obscure the day light lighting. The enclosed patios over the 50’ x 85’ tunnels will be the hub of activity after the auction. This space could be rented out for different functions all related to cars, and car memorabilia or for whatever.
Also the mall restaurants would bid for the food service. A large fire pit with a chimney will be built in at the end of the room but not obscure the view out over the cars or whatever the function is about. Entry to the patio will be from the 8’ walkway around the bleachers and also from over the bridge to the car auction house. Also entry to the building can be from the outside bleachers. Could you just imagine a hickory fire in the fire pit sending out an aroma of a side of beef roasting around 4 o'clock? This would make you stay to the end of the auction for sure.
As the auctions are today you are ready to leave after your ears start to reverberate with the barking for bids over the loud speakers, and when one auctioneer takes over from another the chant changes, and you cannot understand his chant, now that just puts a thorn into the wound. With our new system the noise is eliminated and no barking over the loud speakers to distract your thought over the price that you want to pay. The lap top design will be kept a secret until later. There are so many outdoor functions that need a place to meet and do their thing, and this would complement their club meetings or whatever their get together requires. The more functions, the more people, more auctions, and after a while it is the place to be.
Genesis
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
And Lot said unto them, Oh not so, my Lord:
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy site, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven;
And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
