Segment 05
Proposed: Three building auction complex, with hotel on 156 acres South of Indianapolis, to serve the 5- state area of all auction needs.
North middle left section elevation of the hotel front.
The basement will have doors the same as building # 1 as discussed for loading and unloading of merchandise for the mall stores, and auction items at different locations. The basement is the same size as in the plan view of the hotel allowing for the 10’ porch area. The drawings are too large to be shown on one page but they are in sequences from #1,
#2 etc.
The hotel first floor level is the same level as the ledge that is built into the tilt up panels to accommodate the statues and for bolting down, and securing to the 42” wall of the porch. It is estimated that it will take 9 years to fill all of the statue spaces at an average of 3.3 a week. The prime spots would be the newel posts replacements at the lobby entry with statues 1½ normal size on each side of the circular stairs to the sitting room or waiting room on the second floor. Also on the top of the stairs to the waiting room will be statues in place of the newel posts. While in the waiting room you will be able to look down on the covered bridge to the lobby area by having a solid glass 42” high wall overlooking the lobby.
You have all visited a wax museum, ‘ooed and ‘awed over how lifelike the statues are. Well, this is what we are trying to duplicate without the color but with the detail. The next prime spot in the hotel would be the inside rooms that look down on the mall area and shops. These statues would be the most visual and looked at, and admired of any place in the building. Naturally the placement here will cost a premium.
The lobby check in counter will be on both sides past the circular stairs. This hotel will not have a pool and or an exercise room. All of the other amenities will offset the need for such facilities. These facilities are considered a liability to the hotel and not assets. They are only used for promotional purposes on colorful brochures to intimidate their rival.
The lobby sitting-waiting room will be furnished with concrete chairs as described in another segment. Lobby doors will be in the entry covered bridge 20’ back into the covered bridge from the building. This could stop the cold air draft entering the building without having two sets of doors close together making an air chamber.
We need something to hold your attention the full length of the bridge walkway in the ceiling. So back lighted Gibson Girls portraits on plastic panels 2’ square, and 10 pictures wide the entire length of the bridge, each in a frame to enhance the portraits. If you cannot afford a statue, then a picture taken in one of our professional studios with, all of the hats, wigs, and dresses, of that period in time, will complement you and your desires. When you come back years later, you will not believe the changes, and aren't you happy you had it taken back then.
The side lighting fixtures of the walkway over the bridge at each column will be low voltage inside a large baroque design protruding at an angle from the wall. This will give the first time guest a good impression of what to expect of this facility. We are still working on the bridge floor for a design.
When all other hotels are working on glitz and awes to entice you to stay, we are just trying to make it an enjoyable experience to be remembered at a modest cost.
Genesis
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
